Images like these with bands and blurs of light in some way delineate the way my brain conveys memory.

In photography school, I studied the technique of painting with light. When I photograph people in this way, I feel as though one can see the colors of their energy; as if the camera can capture something the human eye cannot. There is something so spectral about it. You can almost feel their spirit dancing right out through the image itself.
